The Mardi Gras Crepe Myrtle is a weeping variety, meaning it is less than 3 feet tall.  It is a small, densely branched plant that is grown mainly for its ornamental features.  The branches have an unusual growth pattern.  As the plant grows up the branches begin to cascade downwards, which is called Oval Weeping.
